Beyond the practical requirements of each prune, we consider how our cuts shift the proportions of a tree, accentuate its graceful lines, or open up new views through the garden — and how these changes affect its atmosphere.
And when a tree needs to come down, we're equally at home climbing, rigging and dismantling it, with the garden beneath firmly in mind.

What we can help with
We work on everything from young garden trees requiring their first formative prune to large, difficult removals in confined spaces. The work varies enormously, and so does what each tree needs.
Pruning and shaping
Pruning for structure, proportion and the way a tree sits within its garden. Sometimes that means substantial work; sometimes a few carefully placed cuts can change the whole view.
Technical climbing, rigging and removals
We climb, rig and dismantle trees in difficult positions, including over roofs, around buildings and within established gardens. We also install steel cable bracing where appropriate.
Storm damage & dangerous trees
We undertake difficult storm-damage work, including broken, suspended and unstable branches over roofs and other structures.
Call us 24/7 about storm damage. We aim to attend urgent jobs within 24 hours.
Tree health and long-term care
Tree health assessments, formative pruning, structural management and advice on caring for trees as they mature.
Consulting arboriculture
On-site investigations and assessments, management recommendations and written arboricultural reports.
A little about us
We're Amanda and Nick, climbing and consulting arborists based in Inverloch.
We became best friends while training as tree climbers, then spent three years travelling and working around Australia, climbing and pruning trees in all sorts of landscapes and conditions.
Those years gave us a great deal of practical experience, and helped shape the way we work together. We both have a strong interest in horticulture and in how trees contribute to the gardens and places around them.
At the end of 2022, we settled in Nick's hometown of Inverloch. We're raising our family here, building our business and getting to know the gardens and trees of South Gippsland.
We're here for the long haul.
